Transport Authority implement ‘Managed Service’ capability

Esotec have been working with one of the UK’s largest transport authorities for over 20 years and have provided them with a range of security services during this time. We are extremely pleased to announce that we will now also be managing their data processing requirement with regard to their over ground CCTV systems for the foreseeable future. Esotec will be working in partnership with the authority to develop a set of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the 2018 GDPR regulations to be implemented at the end of May. The management of their public space CCTV systems, including the retrieval of data in the form of video downloads for evidential purposes, will be executed entirely by Esotec personnel as part of a sub-contracted ‘Managed Service’ offering. Dave Oliver commented “With the advent of GDPR, customers are becoming increasingly concerned about data handling and are looking to instruct a third party ‘data processor’ to act in partnership with them to ensure data generated by CCTV systems is secure at all times. In this regard, Esotec is perfectly positioned to provide a complete data management service, as we will be utilising our own SC cleared personnel operating from our secure premises in Didcot. We feel that this is a unique offering and attractive proposition to other large organisations with extensive CCTV systems required to comply with GDPR regulation."
